Lesson 5
Background Readings: Personal Scripts
Please read the following QuestionPoint guide on how to setup personal scripts.
Hands-On Activity: Creating Personal Scripts
- Create at least 3 personal scripts.
- Begin by logging into QuestionPoint and going to the My QuestionPoint screen.
- In the right-hand corner of the My QuestionPoint screen click on the "select a service" drop-down menu, and choos "ask". Click on "settings" in the grey toolbar,
and an option for scripts will appear in the blue toolbar below the grey one. Next click on "my scripts".
- After you've created your scripts, organize them by using one of the following methods
-
Change the name of your scripts using numbers to prioritize them by how often you
might use them during chat, or by putting your favorites at the top of the list.
Example: 1_hello, 2_goodbye, etc.
-
Scripts are organized in the list by alphabetical order, so you can put your favorite
scripts at the beginning of the list, or put the ones you would use first in the conversation at the beginning of the list, and the ones you'd use last at the end of the list.
Example: a_hello, z_goodbye, etc. To see an example of how this method is used, view the page on global scripts from earlier in the lesson.
The advantage to organizing your scripts using one of these methods, is to save you time locating the script you want in a long list of scripts.
This completes lesson 5.
