Hands-On ActivityIM: Practice communicating with another librarian (or the Special Projects Librarian) using IM and then transferring a patron using the practice queue.
Co-browsing: In practice mode, co-browse with another librarian (or the Special Projects Librarian). Prior to initiating the feature, note the information provided about the patron. Check whether cobrowsing is possible (it should indicate "Co-browse: Yes".)Once you have initiated co-browse, practice with the "block" feature that allows you to limit the online movements of the patron. Activate block and navigate to a database. Unblock, and have the patron enter login information. Be sure to communicate what you are doing with the patron so he/she doesn't get frustrated trying to click on options while blocked. Alternate between the blocked and unblocked status to control the pace of the session. Note the time lag between between computers and keep this in mind while working with live patrons.
